The Field Controls 02724001 MG1 is a double-acting draft control designed for gas-fired furnaces and boilers, featuring 6" control size with 6-5/8" outer diameter and 28.3 square inch nominal capacity accommodating circumferences from 15-3/4" to 19". Constructed with 24-gauge ring and gate components plus 26-gauge collar, this precision control provides accurate draft regulation from 0.01" to 0.1" W.C. using simple weight adjustments and opens outward to relieve positive vent pressures as low as 0.01". Ideal for conversion burner installations, mechanical draft inducer applications, sidewall power venter systems, and gas atmospheric appliances where standard draft hoods cannot be installed, the MG1 improves combustion stability and resolves venting problems by providing precise draft control at levels higher than permitted by standard draft diverters.
