The Prier C-108 Diamond is the only freezeless wall hydrant that delivers tempered — mixed hot and cold — water to the exterior of a building without the risk of freeze damage. The shutoff valves for both the hot and cold stems connect to supply piping inside the heated portion of the structure, so both lines drain completely when the hydrant is closed. There's no water left in the exposed portion to freeze.

The D12 is the 12" reach model, sized for standard brick veneer, concrete block, or masonry walls. If you're installing through a wood frame wall, see the C-108D06.

Where the C-108 is the right choice: Standard cold-water wall hydrants cover most outdoor water applications. The C-108 is the right upgrade when temperature matters at the point of use — washing a vehicle without cold-water shock on your hands, rinsing pets or livestock, outdoor utility sinks, animal care facilities, backyard entertaining areas, or any installation where scalding risk from untempered hot water is a concern. It is also the correct choice for outdoor shower tower installations using the optional Prier C-108SH1 add-on.

Patented horizontal or vertical installation: Unlike standard wall hydrants, which can only be installed horizontally through the wall, the C-108's patented design allows installation in either orientation. This makes it viable for applications where a standard through-wall horizontal run isn't possible — including vertical runs through floor assemblies, angled installations, and certain commercial utility configurations. The 3-1/2" center-to-center installation template is included.

  • Dual backflow protection built in — aluminum-capped anti-siphon vacuum breaker plus an EPDM backflow check valve; self-draining design clears both the vacuum breaker and the stem at shutoff
  • Internal checks to prevent thermal migration — check valves on both the hot and cold inlets prevent heat from the hot supply from migrating into the cold line and vice versa, which protects pipe connections and maintains supply temperature stability
  • Patented horizontal or vertical installation — the only freezeless mixing hydrant that can be installed in either orientation; 3-1/2" center-to-center installation template included
  • Solid brass throughout, satin nickel plated — body, valve stem cap, seat, and stem ends are all brass with a satin nickel finish that holds up to outdoor exposure without pitting or flaking
  • Aluminum vacuum breaker cap — more impact- and UV-resistant than plastic caps; standard on all Diamond Series hydrants
  • EPDM packing on both stems — durable, weather-resistant packing that's field-serviceable without special tools; tighten the packing nut with a crescent wrench for minor drip behind the handle, or replace with kit C-134KT-803
  • Stainless steel seat washer screw and handle screw — the fasteners most exposed to water and outdoor conditions are stainless, not zinc
  • Enclosed screw holes on the flange — mounting screws are recessed and protected from weather, so they won't corrode and become difficult to remove at next service
  • ACME threads at the seat end — coarser thread profile won't seize or cross-thread, and holds both 12" stems securely under pressure cycling
  • Standard OO beveled bibb washer on both seats — a common size stocked at any plumbing wholesaler; kit C-134KT-802
  • Spout aligning mark with date code on the stem — orients the spout correctly from inside the wall before securing; date code makes warranty and service tracking simple
  • Powder-coated cast aluminum handle — holds up to outdoor exposure; 360° full-turn operation on both hot and cold stems
  • Lock shield cap included — adds structural rigidity and allows conversion to key-operated (C-208 style) using kit C-134KT-804 if vandal resistance is needed; both hot and cold stems can be locked
  • Factory air-tested — every C-108 is leak-tested before it ships
