This non-potable water expansion tank is engineered for commercial and residential closed-loop hydronic heating systems to manage thermal expansion of hot water and keep system pressure below the relief valve’s threshold. Constructed from carbon steel with an epoxy coating, it holds 4.5 gallons and comes pre-charged at 12 psi. The durable butyl diaphragm separates water from air, reducing air loss and extending system life. It mounts directly to supply piping, featuring a 1/2 inch MNPT connection and a standard tire valve charging port. The tank’s maximum operating pressure is 75 psi (5.3 bar).
